Warm Chocolate Mess


1 pkg. chocolate cake mix

3 oz. pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix

4 eggs

1 c water

2 c sour cream

1 stick butter, melted (you can do this in a small bowl in the microwave) 

1/2  tsp salt

1 c semisweet chocolate chips


Spray crockpot with cooking spray.

In a large bowl, combine the eggs with the water, then add the sour cream and butter and stir until smooth. Add to the dry ingredients and beat well. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Pour into crockpot. Cover and cook on Low for 5-7 hours, until top springs back when touched very lightly with finger.

 8-10 servings

This tastes like the chocolate stuff called Chocolate Stuff, my nephew, Phelps, loves at Barbara Jean’s on St. Simon’s Island. We also discovered that it reheats beautifully in the microwave. Sammy says it’s his favorite too. Good with ice cream.
